Daniel Burkhardt, NAI Hallmark

Each year, the Business Journal selects 40 leaders under the age of 40 who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement while also becoming leaders in their communities. To be selected as a 40 Under 40 honoree requires business success, leadership skills and a high level of community involvement. Those who were picked must go beyond even that high bar, however: They also must be involved in shaping the community in which they live and work, helping it chart a path for the future. Chosen from a near-record number of nominees,  we are proud to congratulate Daniel Burkhardt among the 2022 class of 40 Under 40 honorees.

As Senior Vice President and member of NAI Hallmark’s investment sales team, Daniel specializes in the acquisition of commercial real estate investment properties with a primary focus on office, retail, and industrial assets. Joining NAI Hallmark in 2012, Daniel serves as one of NAI Hallmark’s senior leaders on the brokerage team, offering guidance and mentorship to newer team members, working to improve brokerage standard operating procedures and client services, and spearheads the team’s annual prospecting initiative. Daniel has also achieved a number of professional designations, including being a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and serving as the President of the CCIM District of Northeast Florida in 2020. He also achieved a Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation in 2020, which is the leading global professional office and industrial real estate association.

As a Jacksonville native, Daniel believes deeply in the community of Jacksonville and its future. He actively supports local organizations and charities including Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville, Dreams Come True, and Assumption Catholic School. Daniel has volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House as a Red Shoe Crew Member from 2019 to the present. He volunteered with Dreams Come True from 2012 through 2019, acting as the Horizon Board’s Treasurer in 2013 and the Horizon Board’s President in 2014. He has also served as a Lector for Assumption Catholic School from 2013 to 2019, and as the Boy’s Varsity Head Assistant Basketball Coach from 2012 through 2019.

Daniel has been a member of the Jacksonville chapter of the National Association of Office and Industrial Properties (NAIOP) since 2012, serving in a variety of leadership roles including the Developing Leaders Charity Chair, Developing Leaders Education Chair, Co-Chair, and Developing Leaders Chair. He is also a member of Impact Jax and JAX Chamber Hightower Emerging Leaders Fellowship.

Daniel exemplifies what it means to be a well-rounded professional. His dedication to the Jacksonville community through countless volunteer hours to local charities, love of learning and improvement, and his successful professional career elevate him to a phenomenal leader in both the NAI Hallmark office and the community at large. A friend and mentor to all, Daniel is an incredible colleague and leader.
